106M1081-01 AC and DC Power Supplies Overview:

• Module Type:
  • Half-height modules designed for specific slots on the left side of the rack.
• Installation:
  • Must be installed in designated slots on the left side of the rack.
  • The rack can have one or two power supplies with any combination of AC and DC.
  • Either supply can power a full rack.
• Primary and Backup Supply:
  • In a rack with two power supplies, the one in the lower slot serves as the primary supply, and the one in the upper slot serves as the backup supply.
  • Removing or inserting either power supply module does not disrupt the rack’s operation as long as a second power supply is installed.
• Available Power Supplies:
  • Universal AC Power Supply.
  • High Voltage DC Power Supply.
  • Low Voltage DC Power Supply.
• Rack Space Requirements:
  • Two half-height slots on the left side of the rack.
  • Each slot accommodates one power supply.
  • Both slots can hold a power supply simultaneously, allowing for redundant power supplies.
• Power Input Module:
  • Special half-height module located directly behind the associated power supply.
• Miscellaneous:
  • No minimum rack load is required.
• Environmental Limits:
  • Operating Temperature: -30 °C to +65 °C (-22 °F to +150 °F).

Important Note:

• When two power supplies are present, the second one (upper slot) acts as the backup for the primary (lower slot).
