Preparations. A. Perform these steps if you have not already done the following:
·Install and connect two 1757-SRM modules.
·Obtain IP address, subnet mask and gateway address for each EtherNet/IP module.
See Plan the EtherNet/IP Networks on page 12.
·Do you know how to configure the EtherNet/IP module in a non redundant system?
·If you do not understand, continue with step B for UBC717BE101 3BHE021887R0101.
·If yes, skip step B.

B. Obtain the following publications:
EtherNet/IP Module in Logix5000 Control System (Publication No
ENET-UM001)
This publication will be used when configuring each module.
Configure the EtherNet/IP module in the first rack. A. Power on only one redundant rack.
For example, if both racks are powered on, turn off one of them.
B. Configure the EtherNet/IP module in the communication motor rack.
·Do you see the IP address on the module panel?
·If not, return to step B.
·If so, continue with step C.

C. UBC717BE101 3BHE021887R0101 Repeat step B for each EtherNet/IP module in this rack.
Configure the EtherNet/IP module in the second rack. A. Turn off the power to the rack you just configured.
B. Power on the other rack.
C. Configure the EtherNet/IP module in the communication motor rack.
·Do you see the IP address on the module panel?
·If not, return to step C.
·If so, continue with step C.
D. Repeat step C for each EtherNet/IP module in this rack.
