Description

Assume that the output socket interface of the DC power supply ACS580-01-07A3-4 has three pins, which are positive pole, negative pole and ground pole. Correspondingly, the load plug should also have three pins corresponding to the power side one by one, so as to correctly obtain the power supply.


It is noted that ACS580-01-07A3-4 has three conditions that must be met:
First, the shape and size of the plug and socket pin must correspond to the diameter and length of the pin one by one, otherwise the plug operation cannot be completed. This specifies the physical structure and pin definition of the plug combination.
Second, the output voltage value of power supply ACS580-01-07A3-4 must meet the demand value of the load side, otherwise the requirements for electrical parameters cannot be fulfilled. This determines the level specification of the plug combination.

RS422 interface and RS232 interface are full duplex interfaces, while RS485 is half duplex interface.
For a half duplex interface, it is obviously necessary to have a communication initiator, so the RS485 interface and network must have a master station and several slave stations, and the number of slave stations is also specified. Generally, the number of slave stations is 32.
The relationship between RS485 master station and slave station seems to be just the difference of communication working system, and its essence is the reasonable distribution of communication bus control rights between communication parties.
Let’s look at the bus connection.
Let’s take power supply as an example. We can lead out a trunk line from the power supply, and then connect several branches in parallel and send them to several loads respectively. As long as the power requirements of the power supply are met, it is obviously feasible.
If we use the same method to lead out the RS485 communication line, is it feasible? The answer is no. We must first lead a line from the communication master station to the first communication substation, and then lead the second line from the first substation to the second substation, and so on until the last substation. At the terminal of the communication line, a terminal resistor is also provided. If there is an open circuit at any point on this communication line, the communication on the subsequent communication link will also be broken. This connection method is vividly called daisy petal connection method or chain connection method, while the connection method of power supply is called star connection method.
