Description

Connect the air source, and SPAJ110C checks whether the pressure behind the pressure reducing valve meets the nameplate parameter requirements of the actuator (the maximum air supply pressure of the positioner is 7BAR, but the actual air supply pressure must refer to the maximum air source pressure allowed by the actuator).
2. Connect the 4 — 20mA input signal. (The working power supply of the locator is taken from the input signal and powered by the DCS two-wire system. SPAJ110C cannot directly apply DC24V to the locator, otherwise the locator circuit may be damaged).

3. Check the installation angle of the position feedback rod (if the positioner and actuator are supplied as a whole, the installation and commissioning have been completed by the actuator supplier, only check and confirm, this step is not necessary):
·Press and hold the MODE key.
·At the same time, click the ⇧ or ⇩ key, SPAJ110C until the operating mode code 1.3 is displayed.
·Release the MODE key.
·Use the ⇧ or ⇩ key to operate the actuator to two terminal positions respectively, and record the angle of the two terminals
·The two angles shall conform to the following recommended angle range (the minimum angular displacement is 20 degrees, without strict symmetry)
The application range of straight stroke is – 28 º —+28 º.
The application range of angular travel is – 57 º —+57 º.
The full stroke angle shall not be less than 25 º
4. Switch to the parameter configuration menu
·Press and hold the ⇧ and ⇩ keys at the same time
·Click ENTER
·Wait 3 seconds, the counter counts from 3 to 0
·Release the ⇧ and ⇩ keys
The program automatically enters the P1.0 configuration menu.
5. Use the ⇧ and ⇩ keys to select the positioner installation form as straight stroke or angular stroke.
Installation form of angular travel: the positioner has no feedback rod, and its feedback axis is the same axis with the angular displacement output shaft of the actuator
Generally, the angular displacement is 90 º
Straight stroke installation form: the positioner must drive the rotation shaft of the positioner through the feedback rod. Generally, the angular displacement of the feedback rod of the positioner is less than 60 º, which is used to drive the pneumatic actuator of the straight stroke valve.
Note: Before automatic adjustment, please confirm whether the actual installation form is consistent with the form selected in the positioner menu. Because the positioner defines the actuator travel terminal differently during automatic adjustment, and the linearization correction database is different, large non-linear errors may be caused.
6. Start the automatic adjustment procedure (it is better to reset the actuator or valve after it is installed in the system):
·Press and hold the MODE key
·Click the ⇧ key one or more times until “P1.1” is displayed
·Release the MODE key
·Press and hold the ENTER key for 3 seconds until the counter counts down to 0
·Release the ENTER key, and the automatic adjustment program starts to run (the display shows the program statement number in progress).
·After the automatic adjustment procedure is successfully completed, the display shows “COMPLETE”.
In case of any fault during automatic adjustment, the program will be forced to terminate and display the fault code. The cause of the fault can be checked according to the fault code. The automatic adjustment program can also be forcibly interrupted artificially.
7. If necessary, enter “P1.2” to adjust and control the deviation zone (or dead zone).
8. If necessary, enter “P1.3” to test the setting effect.
9. Store setting results:
·Press and hold the MODE key
·Click the ⇧ key one or more times until “P1.4” is displayed
·Release the MODE key
·Use the ⇧ or ⇩ key to select NV_ SAVE (If ‘CANCEL’ is selected, previous modifications will not be stored.)
·Press and hold the ENTER key for 3 seconds until the counter is released after counting down
The parameters measured in the previous setting and automatic adjustment will be stored in the EEPROM, and the positioner will switch to the previously selected operation mode.
Selection of operation mode at operation level
1.0 Mode: adaptive control mode
·Press and hold the MODE key
·Click the ⇧ key one or more times until “1.0 CTRL_ADP” is displayed
·Release the MODE key
·The display shows the percentage of valve position, such as “50.0% POSITION”
1.1 Mode: fixed control mode
·Press and hold the MODE key
·Click the ⇧ key one or more times until “1.1 CTRL_FIX” is displayed
·Release the MODE key
·The display shows the percentage of valve position, such as “50.0% POSITION”
1.2 Mode: manual control within the actual full stroke range of the actuator
·Press and hold the MODE key
·Click the ⇧ key once or more until “1.2 MANUAL” is displayed
·Release the MODE key
·The display shows the percentage of valve position, such as “50.0% POSITION”
·Use the ⇧ or ⇩ key for manual control.
Press and hold the ⇧ key first, then press and hold the ⇩ key (always press and hold the ⇧ key), and the actuator will open quickly
Press and hold the ⇩ key first, then press and hold the ⇧ key (always press and hold the ⇩ key), and the actuator will close quickly
1.3 Mode: manual control within the detection range of the positioner
·Press and hold the MODE key
·Click the ⇧ key once or more until “1.3 MAN_SENS” is displayed
·Release the MODE key
·The display shows the angle position of the feedback rod as “- 15.0 º SENS_POS”
·Use the ⇧ or ⇩ key for manual control.
Press and hold the ⇧ key first, then press and hold the ⇩ key, the actuator will open quickly
Press and hold the ⇩ key first, then press and hold the ⇧ key, the actuator will close quickly
