Function Description:

The Bently 3500 online vibration monitoring system from the United States is used for mechanical protection applications, for vibration monitoring of large and medium-sized rotating machinery such as steam turbines, compressors, fans, water pumps, coal mills, gearboxes, motors, etc. It is widely used in steel, power, metallurgy, petrochemical petroleum, natural gas, petrochemical, chemical and other related industrial fields. The highly modular design of the system includes:
Bently3500/05 Instrument Frame
Bently3500/15 power supply
Bently 3500/20 Framework Interface Module
Option Description
A: Power type (upper slot)
01 Low voltage AC (85 to 132 Vac rms)
0 2 High Voltage AC (175 to 264 Vac rms)
0 3 high-voltage direct current (88 to 140 Vdc)
0 4 low-voltage DC (20 to 30Vdc)
05 Universal Power Supply
B: Power type (lower slot)
0 0 No power supply (only used when a single power supply is required)
05 Universal Power Supply

Although TDI provides certain functions that are common to the entire rack, it is not part of the critical monitoring path and will not affect the correct and normal operation of the entire monitoring system. Each 3500 rack requires a TDI or RIM, which always occupies slot 1 (near the power supply).
For Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) applications, the 3500 system requires the TMR version of TDI. In addition to all standard TDI functions, TMR TDI also performs “monitoring channel comparison”. The 3500 TMR configuration uses the settings specified in the monitor options to perform monitor voting. Using this method, TMR TDI continuously compares three (3)
Output of redundant monitors. If TDI detects that information from one monitor is no longer the same as the other two monitors (within the configured percentage range), it will mark that monitor as an error and place an event in the system event list.
