2. Introduction to the new system: The main fan unit renovation adopts the ESD system from TRICONEX, an American company.
2.1 Hardware Characteristics: The core of TRICONEX’s TS3000 system is a triple module redundant fault-tolerant controller with a TMR structure. The TRICON system has three processors, and the digital input signal is divided into three isolated channels in the DI module, which are sent to the three main processors through three independent channels for two out of three voting; After correcting any deviations, the data is sent to the DO module through three I/O buses and voted on again in the DO module hardware. Similarly, the analog input signal is divided into three isolated channels in the AI module. The analog signal is converted into a 12 bit digital signal through an analog-to-digital converter in each sub circuit of the AI module, and processed using a 32-bit coprocessor. Each main processor uses an algorithm to select the middle value to read the correct value and correct any deviations in the sub circuit. The analog signal output by the main processor is selected in the analog output selector in the AO module, To ensure the accuracy of the output signal.
2.2 Software features: The Tristation1131 programming software based on the WINNT environment integrates interlocking logic functions and adjustment functions including reverse current and safe operation control on a system platform, achieving high reliability, integration, and integrity of the control system. At the same time, in conjunction with Wonderware Intouch monitoring software, it can provide users and operators with a good human-machine interface, realizing functions such as process monitoring, operation, dynamic work point display, alarm recording, and historical data collection. 3. Introduction to the original control system of the main fan unit: Before the renovation, the axial flow fan of the main fan unit Shaangu adopts Siemens PLC control logic, and the anti surge logic exists in the programmable regulator YS170. The interlocking logic of the smoke machine is controlled by Mitsubishi PLC, and some of the interlocking signals of the axial flow fan are sent to the smoke machine PLC, while some of the interlocking signals of the smoke machine are also sent to the axial flow fan PLC. The two sets of logic cross each other. There are mainly anti surge logic, reverse flow, safe operation, startup logic, interlocking logic, inlet butterfly valve control, static blade control, and steam control for cooling the fan disc. The shaft vibration, displacement, and speed of the unit are detected using BENTLY’s 3300 series products. The interlocking signals of shaft displacement and speed are output through the relay module after the Bentley 3300 secondary meter. On the dashboard, there are various secondary meters installed on the panel, which can display the pressure, flow rate, and temperature indicators required by the process. There are also operation buttons such as shutdown buttons, reset buttons, and test buttons, as well as various alarm indicator lights and operating status indicator lights.
4. Several tasks that need to be clarified before the renovation of the main fan unit:
4.1 The original cables of the instrument shall be reused, and the Bentley 3300 shaft system instrument shall be retained.
4.2 Try to maintain the original style of operation as much as possible.
4.3 Strong current equipment and instrument control weak current equipment shall be arranged separately, and interlocking instrument wiring terminals shall be arranged separately.
4.4 According to the characteristics of the main fan unit of the catalytic unit and the need for centralized monitoring, it is required that the control room can monitor the operating conditions of the unit 100%. This renovation system is equipped with two operation stations and one engineer station, both of which can monitor the operation of the main fan unit. At the same time, the engineer station is used for system configuration and daily maintenance. The alarm light screen, test switch, and button are installed on the auxiliary operation console.
The control cabinet is still located in the control room, but needs to be isolated from the operation room through a glass wall. The main frame and expansion frame of the ESD system installed in the cabinet, as well as the isolation barriers and terminal boards used for signal conversion, are installed in the cabinet. The Bentley 3300 axis system instrument and status detection host S8000 are also installed in the cabinet.
4.6 The system power supply adopts two power sources, one is mains power and the other is UPS.
4.7 Except for the auxiliary control panel signals, the signals connected to the electrical system of the TS3000 system and all DO output signals of the system are isolated through intermediate relays.
The key control signals between the catalytic DCS and TS3000 are controlled through hard wiring, while other process parameters are transmitted through a bus.
4.9 Set operation permissions, add interlocking signals and signals that affect startup to soft disconnect.
5. Renovation plan:
5.1 Demolition of old systems and installation of new systems. Due to the use of old cables in this renovation, the panel mounted instruments were removed and line markings were made at each wiring terminal. The accuracy of the line markings directly affects the success or failure of the renovation. Due to the blurriness of the wire markings on the old wiring terminals, a comparison was made with the old wiring diagram. If unclear, on-site short circuiting and indoor measurement of conductivity were used to determine the wire markings of the cable. At the same time, the insulation resistance of each cable was also measured. The installation of the new cabinet adopts overall hoisting. As the cables between the new cabinets are already prepared at the factory, it is necessary to strictly avoid competition between cabinets during hoisting. After fixing the cabinets on the prepared brackets, make grounding connections, one for protective grounding and the other for signal grounding.
The determination and allocation of input and output points in 5.2 is directly related to the hardware configuration of the ESD system, as well as the production of configuration points and screens. At the same time, it is required that there should be a 15% margin for backup points of each type of signal card.
