Description

Introduction:

ProLinx Modbus Plus to DF1 master/slave gateway creates a powerful connection between devices on the Modbus Plus network and DF1 slave devices. This independent DIN rail mounted protocol gateway provides 1 Modbus Plus configurable DB-9F port and up to 4 configurable serial ports.

With the rapid development of Modbus protocol technology, more and more industrial products are now supporting Modbus protocol, such as instruments, frequency converters, MCC, soft starters, HMI, and so on. This solution connects the on-site measuring instruments to the CompactLogix PLC system using Modbus communication protocol through ProSoft Technology product MVI69L-MBS.

The Modbus protocol is the world’s first truly industrial field bus protocol. In China, Modbus has become the national standard GB/T19582-2008. With the continuous progress of automation technology, some technologies and communication products have gradually improved and enriched to complete data exchange and communication between devices. The MVI69L-MBS Modbus serial communication module is designed by the CompactLogix series controller for Modbus serial communication devices between smaller applications. MVI69L-MBS only has one serial port and can support master or slave connection interfaces, using Modbus protocol with various devices.
