Gas Analyzer AO2040-Fidas24°Ex Design and Commissioning Information:

Design Overview:

• The gas analyzer consists of the AO2040 system housing, Fidas24 analyzer module, and an IP65 connecting box.
• The housing, along with the purging and monitoring unit FS870S, forms a pressurized encapsulation according to IEC 60079-2.
• Compressed air is used as purging gas, ensuring separation from the potentially explosive ambient atmosphere.
• Various models are available; refer to Ex marking and versions on page 8.
• The overpressure version allows discharge against a maximum overpressure of 1250 hPa.

Overpressure Version:

• Special variant of Fidas24-Ex enabling exhaust gas discharge against a maximum overpressure of 1250 hPa.
• Requires increased instrument air pressure; see Properties of the instrument air on page 23.
• Covered by the type examination certificate and documented in the device data sheet.

Scope of Delivery:

• Gas analyzer model AO2040-Fidas24 Ex (wall-mounted housing).
• Screwed fittings with tubing connectors for flexible tube connections.
• Counter plug for electrical connection of I/O modules.
• Screwdriver for attaching electric lines in the counter plugs.
• Accessory bag with fittings and O-rings for sample gas line connections.
• Exhaust air pipe with connecting nut and locking ring.
• Commissioning Instruction.
• Analyzer data sheet.

Commissioning Instruction:

• Delivered with a commissioning manual containing information for safe installation, commissioning, and operation.
• Does not cover calibration, configuration, maintenance, Modbus®, and PROFIBUS® interface details.

Analyzer Data Sheet:

• Contains Order Number (O-No.), Job number (J-No.), Production Number (P-No.), Production Date, Power supply details, Measuring components and ranges, Serial numbers of installed modules.
• Keep the data sheet in the gas analyzer for easy access during service/maintenance.
• Observe information in the analyzer data sheet during commissioning.
