Description

When optimizing the program, it involves the fixed length shear (DS) PLC and the stacking (PP) PLC. The difficulty of optimizing the program lies in how to send the lowering signal of the 2 # and 3 # grinding table feeding devices in the fixed length shear PLC to the stacking PLC. If this problem can be solved, then all problems will be easily solved. As is well known, special database elements (DAT) in process controllers (PLCs) are used to establish communication between different PC programs. Using DAT database elements of the data type you need can achieve communication between PC programs under the same PLC. However, when you want to send data to another process controller node, you also need to use DS (Data Set) to communicate with DB (Data Base) elements. We can have a more intuitive understanding of the tasks that need to be completed using the diagram below.


The DAT communication element must have the same type and be equally stored in both DS elements.
Below is an introduction to the steps of program optimization;
1. Generate and define DS elements in the length cutting and stacking PLC respectively.

Explanation of important parameters in the picture:
Name: The name of the generated DS element
ACT: When the value is 1, it indicates that the DS element is activated
IDENT: A number between 1 and 255 (sending and receiving must be consistent)
User: 1 for DS communication
SOURCE: SEND represents the sending node, and RECIVE represents the receiving node.
NET: Network number=33 (the network number of the other controller), in this example, both network numbers are the same
NODE: Node number of the other controller

2. Generate and define DAT elements under their respective DS elements.
After completing the above two steps, enter the online software Online Bullid of each controller, use the # CRDB command to generate DS and DAT elements, and use the MDB command to modify the DS and DAT elements.

3. In the PLC program of the fixed length shear, find the signal of the grinding table feeding device lowering to the desired position and transmit it to the PC program of the stacking PLC, and use it as an interlocking condition for the cold straightening input roller table operation.

The signal of the grinding table unloading device lowering to the desired position is transmitted to the stacking PLC
The signal of lowering the cutting device of the grinding table into position is used as an interlocking condition for the operation of the cold straightening input roller table.

At this point, the optimization of the entire program is completed. Only when the cutting device of the grinding table is at its lowest position (not during the lifting process or at its highest position) can the cold straightening input roller table rotate, ensuring the safe operation of the equipment.
