Description

◆ This procedure specifies the safety precautions for on-site electrical operation of ABB high-voltage cabinet.
◆ This procedure specifies various standardized operation steps of ABB high-voltage cabinet, such as basic operation of circuit breaker, basic operation of handcart, local and remote closing/opening operation, closing/opening operation of grounding switch, closing and opening operation of cabinet door, interlocking operation between cabinets and outside cabinets, and basic operation of microcomputer protection devices REX521 and REF610.

◆ This procedure specifies the standard operation steps for power transmission/power failure of ABB high-voltage cabinet.
◆ This procedure is only applicable to UniGear550 high-voltage cabinet produced by ABB in Xiamen, China
2. PP881 Overview
There are 24 ABB high-voltage cabinets in KPC pipeline project, which are divided into 4 stations (2 #, 4 #, 6 #, 8 #). Each station has 6 cabinets, including 1 incoming cabinet, 1 PT cabinet, 1 station transformer, 3 motor cabinets (1 for standby), and one power supply.
ABB high-voltage cabinet model: UniGear550
Model of vacuum circuit breaker: Vmax/L 12.06.25
Microcomputer model: REF610 – incoming cabinet, station transformer cabinet REX521 – motor cabinet
Voltage grade: primary bus voltage 6.6KV, secondary measurement voltage AC110V, secondary control power DC110V, heating lighting AC24V
PP881 current grade: incoming cabinet 600/5A transformer cabinet 50/5A motor cabinet 300/5A zero sequence CT transformation ratio is 250/5A
With grounding switch: except PT cabinet without grounding switch, incoming cabinet, station transformer and motor cabinet are all equipped with grounding switch.
3. Safety precautions for on-site electrical operation of ABB high-voltage cabinet.
3.1 Comply with the safety rules for electrical operation in the distribution room of KPC pump station.
3.2 Wear relevant safety protection appliances, such as safety helmet, insulating gloves, insulating shoes, etc.
3.3 Operators of high-voltage equipment must have high-voltage operation certificates, have issued work tickets, handled work permits, and have on-site supervisors.
3.4 Get familiar with the operation site, define the work area, and define the on-site operation content, operation steps and methods.
3.5 Before the operation of high-voltage power transmission/outage, relevant safety protection work should be done well, such as setting up protective fences to prevent entering the area of live equipment by mistake, pulling warning lines, hanging safety warning signs, and organizing personnel to watch.
3.6 Before high-voltage power transmission, it is recommended to lay insulating rubber pads on the floor in front of the high-voltage cabinet.
3.7 After the relevant inspection and protection work is completed, the high-voltage cabinet can be inspected and operated before power transmission/power failure.
4. Various standard operation steps of ABB high-voltage cabinet
▲ In addition to the basic “five prevention” interlocking function of the switch cabinet, ABB high-voltage cabinet is also equipped with other safety locking devices. Please refer to the relevant operating instructions before operating the ABB high-voltage cabinet. “Five prevention” interlocking functions are as follows:
① Prevent false closing and opening of the circuit breaker (the circuit breaker is equipped with closing locking, and the equipment can only be operated when the operation instruction corresponds to the corresponding equipment);
② Prevent the disconnector and isolating contact from being pulled on with load (the disconnector cannot be pulled out when the circuit breaker is operating);
③ Prevent the grounding switch from closing by mistake when electrified (the circuit breaker is in working state, and the grounding switch cannot be operated);
④ Prevent the grounding switch from closing the circuit breaker at the closing position (the handcart cannot swing to the working position when the grounding switch is closed);
⑤ Prevent from entering the charged compartment by mistake (when the compartment is charged, the cabinet door cannot be opened).
4.1 Basic operation of circuit breaker
▲ The working range of DC power supply and coil resistance of each main component of Vmax/L circuit breaker are:
Energy storage motor MS: 85 — 120% DC110V: about 17 Ω; DC220V: about 50 Ω
Closing locking electromagnet RLI: 85 — 120% DC110V: about 45 Ω; DC220V: about 180 Ω (1 #, 3 #)
Closing release MC: 65 — 120% DC110V: about 45 Ω; DC220V: about 180 Ω (1 #, 3 #)
Opening release MO: 65 — 120% DC110V: about 45 Ω; DC220V: about 180 Ω (1 #, 3 #)
Note: Closing release MC and opening release MO can be interchanged.
▲ The closing spring of the circuit breaker must be fully charged, and the closing locking electromagnet must be closed, so that the circuit breaker can be closed.
▲ The circuit breaker panel counter is the closing operation counter, which can count 10000 times at most, and can not count backwards.
4.1.1 Live operation of circuit breaker
This operation refers to the electrical operation with DC power supply for the secondary circuit breaker. The circuit breaker handcart must be in the test/working position.
(1) Electric energy storage: close the air switch of the energy storage power supply, the electric energy storage time is normal for about 6s, the energy storage indicator shows the spring tension state, and the blue energy storage indicator on the upper cabinet door panel is on, indicating that the circuit breaker has been fully stored.
(2) Closing operation: close the control power supply air switch, the closing locking electromagnet automatically pulls in, manually press the closing button, the circuit breaker status indicator displays “1”, and the closing red indicator on the cabinet door panel lights up, indicating that the circuit breaker has been closed.
(3) Opening operation: after the circuit breaker is closed, manually press the opening button, the circuit breaker status indicator displays “0”, and the green opening indicator on the upper cabinet door panel lights up, indicating that the circuit breaker has been opened.
4.1.2 Operation of circuit breaker power loss
This operation refers to the manual operation without DC power supply for the secondary circuit breaker.
(1) Manual energy storage: pull the manual energy storage rod of the circuit breaker panel outward for 10 times, and the radian of each time is 90 °. The energy storage indicator shows the spring tension state, indicating that the circuit breaker has been fully charged.
(2) Closing operation: open the auxiliary mechanism panel of the circuit breaker, lift the iron core of closing locking electromagnet RL1 manually to unlock the closing operation, and then press the closing button manually. The circuit breaker status indicator displays “1”, indicating that the circuit breaker has been closed.
(3) Opening operation: after the circuit breaker is closed, manually press the opening button, and the circuit breaker status indicator displays “0”, indicating that the circuit breaker has been opened.
