Description

In order to meet the control requirements of the lime kiln process monitoring system mentioned above, we use ABB’s AC500 series programmable controller, which adopts a modular design.

(1) Advantech’s Industrial Control Computer (IPC), operating system Windows 2000 Professional, uses Pentium IV processor, 2.66GHz main frequency, 256M memory, 80G hard disk

(2) CPU module: ABB’s AC500 series programmable controller CPU has three different levels: PM571, PM581, and PM591. This system uses PM581, with LCD display, a set of operation buttons, and One SD card expansion port and two integrated serial communication ports. The CPU backplane integrates Ethernet interface and retains the CS31 communication interface, which has good compatibility with the AC31 series PLC.

(3) Local expansion modules: 2 ABB 16 channel AI523 analog input modules, 1 AX522 analog input/output module with 8 input/8 output channels, and 4 DX531 switch input/output modules (configurable).

(4) Distributed expansion: 1 ABB DC551 remote expansion module with CS31 interface, with 8-point 24V DC switching input, 16 point 24V DC settable input/output, 2 DX531 switching input/output modules, and 1 DC523 switching output module. (5) Power module: ABB CP-S power supply, input AC85-264V/output DC24V, 1 10A, 5A each, installed separately.
