Today, I will talk to you about the electrical component of the field actuator – frequency converter.


As a UFC762AE101 industrial site, frequency converter has important characteristics such as speed regulation and energy saving. It has developed rapidly since the 1990s and is widely used in all walks of life. However, the frequency converter is very mysterious to those who are new to it. UFC762AE101 traditional relay circuit control requires a large number of relays for logic conversion. 1、 Wiring of ABB frequency converter
For the appearance and wiring of ABB inverter ACS510, UFC762AE101 can see that the left part is analog input, digital input and relay input, power supply indication, communication interface, etc.
It mainly refers to the input and output of multi-function terminal of control circuit. The right part is the main circuit part of the converter, including the power supply terminals of U1, V1 and W1 incoming lines. BRK+and BRK – are the brake resistance terminals, UDC+and UDC – are the terminals of the chopper and the brake unit (DC bus voltage can also be measured through this terminal), and U2, V2 and W2 are the wiring output to the motor terminals. It should be emphasized here that the input of the main power terminals of traditional brand inverters are also marked as R, S, T and L1, L2, L3, and the output parts are mostly U, V, W.

2、 Overview of control and display
Each inverter will have an operating keyboard or BOP panel, which is used for parameter setting, operation data monitoring, backup and download of inverter parameters.
Before using any inverter, you must first understand the function of the panel of the inverter model. Now I will introduce the ACS510 panel to you.

ABB inverter has two types of panels, one is Chinese panel as shown in the figure above, and the other is English panel, with only one line of display.
Therefore, when purchasing a frequency converter, be sure to note that the remarks are in Chinese. According to the display part, you can enter the level 1 menu through the menu key (soft key 2) to set the functional parameters. LOC/REM on the keyboard is the remote and local switch key. If panel control is required, the following steps are required:
Step 1: During local control, press the LOC/REM key. When LOC (Local) is displayed on the display screen, the inverter is under local control, that is, the control command comes from the keyboard. When REM (remote) is displayed on the display screen, it means that the inverter is under remote control, that is, the control command is from the multi-function terminal or communication mode.
Step 2: When the inverter is under local control, press the START key, and the inverter is in operation.
Step 3: When the frequency converter is in operation, the speed of the frequency converter can be adjusted by pressing (up key/down key) to increase or decrease the operating frequency of the frequency converter. Press STOP to stop the frequency converter.
Step 4: In actual use, the parameters on the motor nameplate, including frequency, current, voltage, speed and other parameters, need to be set in the frequency converter to achieve the functional protection of the motor by the frequency converter. Of course, if the power of the inverter matches the power of the motor, it does not need to be set separately.
