Event Classification: Severe/Fatal
Action:
Monitor has determined that it is in the over-range region; i.e.,
reading greater than 100%LEL. This condition is latching. The
condition cannot be cleared until the area is cleared of the
hazardous gas and the system is reset.
Several wiring faults may also cause this fault:
• White lead open
• Red lead shorted to black lead
• Red and White lead swapped and black shorted to earth

hardware and firmware as suitable for use in applications with a required
Safety Integrity Level of 2 (SIL2) conforming to IEC 61508. The SIL2
suitability certification applies to both simplex architecture options
illustrated in Figure 11-1. The system can be used to provide 4 to 20mA
outputs to a controller or it can be used with a relay module to provide
relay outputs to a controller or actuator.
