Description
The FBI200 and FBI100 Fieldbus Isolator/Filters are designed to filter and isolate 2 Mbps communications from an FCP270 to the Fieldbus Isolator (FBI) which requires 268 Kbps signals for 100 Series FBMs and similar Migration modules. This enables the FCP270 to communicate with both 200 Series FBMs (over 2 Mbps signals) and 100 Series FBMs (over 268 Kbps signals) simultaneously when the FBI100 is installed as specified.
The FBI100 also extends the length of the 268 Kbps module Fieldbus from the FCP270 to 100 Series FBMs and similar competitive migration modules up to 1830 m (6000 ft) over a twinaxial Fieldbus cable. See Figure 2 on page 4. For more information on the FBI200, refer to PSS 21H-2Y18 B4. For more information on the FBI100, refer to PSS 21H-2Y16 B4.
With the continuous development of computer control technology, the functions of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are becoming increasingly powerful. They not only have various control functions, but also have the ability to communicate and network with other devices. Correspondingly, the application of PLC is becoming increasingly popular, not only widely used in traditional logic control, PID control, frequency conversion speed regulation and other fields, but also gradually used in data collection, environmental monitoring and other fields. The distributed PLC monitoring system introduced in this plan adopts a distributed construction scheme, utilizing real-time measurement technology based on Siemens PLC to collect and monitor data at monitoring points of various equipment, in order to achieve the goal of decentralized connection and centralized monitoring. The communication between PLC and LCW series data storage is achieved in free port mode, and the monitoring data is fully saved to the SD card of the storage, making up for the deficiency of PLC’s ability to store and manage a large amount of data. Through this solution, users can effectively store the monitoring data of various devices and the working status of the PLC for a long time.
System structure
The PLC adopts Siemens S7-200 PLC, which is the most diverse small PLC with serial communication methods. It supports various communication protocols, such as point-to-point interface protocol (PPI protocol), multi-point interface protocol (MPI protocol), PROFIBUS protocol, and free communication protocol. Among them, the free communication protocol, also known as user defined protocol, utilizes the free port mode to achieve user-defined communication protocols and connect various intelligent devices. It is very convenient to use and has achieved great success in third-party engineering access.
PLC has certain data storage functions, which can prevent data loss due to communication errors. However, PLC lacks the ability to store and manage a large amount of data; In addition, after power failure or memory loss, the system time of the PLC will be initialized, which will make the data storage time inconsistent with the actual time and prevent long-term effective storage of monitoring data.
