Description

FBM231 The FBM231 is equipped with four ports, each of which can be configured to use either the RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 physical interface standard. Two FBM231s can be used to implement a redundant serial interface between the I/A Series system and dual-ported devices utilizing either the Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII communication protocols. Refer to PSS 21H-2Z31 B4.

There are various situations in industrial equipment that affect PLC analog quantities, such as:
① Due to strong electrical interference from equipment or cabinets.
② Disordered wiring and grounding systems can cause interference.
③ Interference from signal or power lines.
④ Internal interference within the PLC system.

They mostly generate interference due to the violent movement of charges caused by changes in current or voltage distance. Interference can be divided into common mode interference and differential mode interference. Common mode interference refers to the interference voltage having the same amplitude on the signal line and its return line (the reference potential is generally the ground), while the interference current circuit flows between the wire and the reference object (as shown in Figure 1). Differential mode interference refers to the interference voltage between the signal line and its circuit (usually the ground wire of the signal), while the interference current circuit flows in the circuit composed of the wire and the reference object (as shown in Figure 2). In general, differential mode interference has a small amplitude and low frequency, resulting in less significant interference. Common mode interference has a large amplitude and high frequency, and can also generate radiation through wires, resulting in significant interference. So, solving common mode interference is the key to eliminating interference.
