Installation
Typical wiring connections for MA15 range devices are indicated in figure 2. The grounding of the surge protector and the protected equipment is very important and, if possible, should be accomplished as illustrated. Please note that the unit is marked Line and Load and it is important that the unit is installed with the Line side connected to the incoming power and the Load connected to the equipment to be protected. For parallel application however, the Line side is connected to the incoming power and the Load left unconnected.
Check the operating system
(1) Check when following the general computer device power-up startup program. If there are no abnormal situations reported in all aspects, and there are no error messages in the startup display screen and self inspection process, the startup passes smoothly. If the operating system prompts an error during startup and automatically repairs it, the operating system should be restarted normally to check if the error has been completely repaired. Once a system error occurs, backup recovery or reinstallation should be applied. When possible, after starting the operating system, all files should be closed, disk detection and repair programs should be launched, and disk errors should be detected and repaired.
(2) When checking the remaining space on the hard drive, to ensure that the system has sufficient free capacity, you can start the disk defragmentation program to optimize the hard drive; You can also search for and delete temporary files in the system, empty the recycle bin; For workstations that do not have automatic data file cleaning function, useless data files should be manually cleaned. If necessary, back up the entire contents of the disk or volume, format it, and then restore the entire contents of the disk or volume from the backup.
(3) Check that the system date and time, user permissions, passwords, and other settings are correct and meet the requirements. If there are errors, they should be corrected in a timely manner. Check that the sharing or access permissions of each device, file, and folder are set correctly and meet system requirements.
