Description

The two-channel MMS 6312 speed monitor measures the speed of shaft rotation using an impulse signal from a contactless sensor located above the gear wheel. Both channels can be used independently to evaluate the speed of two shafts, stop 2 machines, phase mark 2 shafts Both channels can also be used together for these functions. Evaluation of the direction of rotation of one shaft, evaluation of the difference in the speed of rotation of two shafts, redundant measurement of the speed of one shaft by two sensors Individual monitors can be part of distributed systems in the local network, after which they provide not only standard values but also pre-processed input data for vibrodiagnostik.

In addition to their basic protective function, systems designed in this way contribute to an increase in operational reliability and service life of the equipment. Using a laptop connected to the connector on the front panel (RS 232 interface), you can configure all parameters of the module as well as monitor its function and measured values.

The MMS 6110 2-channel relative vibration monitor enables monitoring of relative vibrations of rotating parts of small and large turbines, compressors, gearboxes, fans, etc. using eddy current sensors. The sensor output signal (monitor input signal) represents the size of the air gap between the sensor face and the measured object. This signal contains a static component corresponding to the middle position of the rotor relative to the sensor, on which a dynamic component representing the dynamic movements of the rotor (vibration) is superimposed. MMS 6110 processes these components separately according to the specified configuration into standard output signals. Additional monitor circuits are used to guard the exceeding of the specified signal limits, supply the monitor and sensors and guard the fault-free status of the entire chain.

The core of the monitor is a microcomputer that allows configuration of various functional modes, parameters of sensors used, measuring ranges and all other necessary parameters. The monitor configuration as well as the reading of the measured data during the monitor revival and servicing is carried out either by a local PC with MMS 6000 configuration program via RS 232 (standard method) or remotely via LAN (if available). If the monitor has information about the machine speed (a phase mark signal is supplied), it also performs a harmonic order analysis and stores in the internal RAM the progress of the last start or run in the form of a Bode graph (vibration as a function of speed) and the progress of the speed change over time. These data and graphs can be viewed, for example, by the specified configuration program or other epro resources.
